Jennifer Ku is a native Taiwanese, who received her bachelor degree from National Taiwan Academy of Arts (now renamed as Taiwan University of Arts), Aspirantura (PhD) from Moscow Conservatory and DMA from University of Kentucky. As a soloist Jennifer has performed in Taiwan, China, Russia, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, United Kingdom and the U.S. Her concert appearances include: Recital in Carnegie Hall (Weill Hall), a series of benefit concerts in Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas for helping Russian orphanages, Opening ceremony of Zubov Youth Piano Competition (Russia), International Conference of Humanities (Hawaii), Gulangyu Concert Hall (Xiamen, China), Harbin Concert Hall (Harbin, China), concert series in Taipei Economic & Cultural Representative Office in New York city and Houston (TX), as well as concert series of Christ the King Cathedral (Lexington, Kentucky in the U.S.)
As a guest pianist, Jennifer performed with the Moscow Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Dubninsky City Symphony Orchestra (Russia), University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Festival Orchestra, Xinsiwang Chanmber Orchestra,Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra and Xiamen University Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber pianist, Jennifer has been invited to perform in Scriabin Museum (Moscow, Russia), tours in Alexandrov, Vladimir (Russia), as Minnan Grand Theatre in Xiamen (China) and Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra Chamber Concert Series (Taiwan). She completed CD recordings published by Taiwan National Palace Museum, and for Susuki violin education resource in Taiwan.
Jennifer has been invited to give recitals, master class and lecture in Trinity University (San Antonio, TX), Cardiff University (U.K.) Taipei City University (Taiwan) and Xianyang Normal Pedagogy College (China).
Jennifer Ku has been interviewed by numerous media sources, such as: ETV (Taiwan), Taiwan Outlook, Joy Radio (Taiwan), Radio Taiwan International, Taipei Classical Music FM99.7, Taichung Classical (Taiwan), Radio UFO (Taiwan), E-New papers of Ministry of Culture (Taiwan), “Observation” Journal (Taiwan), Fujian Daily Newspaper, Sun News, Xiamen Radio FM 90.9, Xiamen TV and Haixia Newspaper (Xiamen). In 2017 her first personal documentary film was made and broadcast by China Huayi Broadcasting Corporation Company.
In addition to her music pursuits, Jennifer is also a certificated interpreter from Russian Ministry of Culture. She served as an interpreter for the Taiwan International Music Festival, Taipei National Concert Hall and Theatre, World Trade Exhibition in Taipei and Xiamen University International Piano Festival. She also wrote reviews for the “Performing Arts” magazine published by Taiwan National Concert Hall. Her book translation (Russian to Chinese) “What is Art” by Lev Tolstoy is published in Taipei in 2013.
Jennifer worked as an adjunct faculty in National Taiwan Chengchi University (Slavic language department), University of Defense (teaching Russian language at the Language Center) and program host of Russian division at the Radio International Taiwan. Now she is a piano professor as well as the head of the keyboard division of music department at College of Arts at Xiamen University (China).
Dr. Katherine White (USA)

Katherine Sherwood White holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern State University (LA), a Master of Music degree from the University of Texas, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Kentucky. As part of her doctoral studies, Dr. White designed and implemented a series of educational presentations on the subject of American art song for elementary school students.
Dr. White's professional appointments include: Instructor of Music-Voice at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith (2008-2014), Voice Instructor at the Fort Smith Academy of the Arts (2008-2014), Voice Instructor at Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point (2009), and Instructor of Voice at the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts (2007-08). She is an active member of both the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the Music Teachers National Association.
A mezzo-soprano, Katherine has performed leading roles with Cincinnati Opera, Central City Opera, University of Kentucky Opera Theater, and Texas Opera Theater, including the title role in Handel’s Rinaldo, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, and The Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors. She has also sung as a soloist with ensembles in performances in Europe and China. In 2011 she travelled to Nanjing, China to perform as a Guest Artist with the Nanjing Festival Orchestra and teach a Master Class at the Nanjing Arts Institute.
An active recitalist, Katherine has performed as part of the Trinity Artist Series in New Orleans, the Mary McDonald Artist Series in Fort Smith, AR, and the J.J. Niles Concert Series in Lexington, KY. In addition to performing as a vocal soloist in the world premiere of the ballet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Marigny Ballet in New Orleans in October of this year, recent engagements include solo performances in Bach’s St. John Passion with the Symphony Chorus of New Orleans, the Fauré Requiem at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and numerous concerts throughout Louisiana as a member of B.R.E.V.E (Baton Rouge Early Vocal Ensemble). Upcoming performances include a solo recital featuring the works of Francis Poulenc at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans, and an appearance with Krewe de Voix of New Orleans as part of its Christmas series concerts.
Dr. White maintains a private voice studio in Baton Rouge and currently has a partnership with the Capitol Area Alzheimer’s Alliance to provide musical workshops to assist those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. She is also a Teaching Artist with the Manship Theater at the Shaw Center, instructing both elementary and secondary students throughout Baton Rouge. She currently resides in Baton Rouge, LA, with her husband, Edward, and their two children.
